The exhibit with live animals will be available for schools, home schools, private schools and daycares and are encouraged to participate!

Wednesday - Thursday Oct. 11 & 12 - School Tours
Thursday-5pm - Sunday, October 12-15 - Open to Public
Barnyard closes October 15th @ 6pm

Sheep & Goats

Entries fees are $20 per animal. Entry cards will purchased at the show prior to weigh in. The card will be turned in at the time the animal is officially weighed. Cash only for entries.

IBCA State Championship BBQ Cook-off

October 6th & 7th, 2017

8 Categories Judged

The Cook-Off Committee has established a minimum participation level of 10 teams. In the event there are fewer than 10 teams entered by October 4, 2017, the cook-off will be canceled and entry fees will be refunded.

Downtown Scarecrow Contest

The Seguin Main Street Program and the Guadalupe County Fair Association is sponsoring the annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest. The contest is open to all individuals, businesses, clubs and organizations doing business in and around Seguin. Contestants are encouraged to set up their displays in downtown Seguin, to decorate downtown for the annual Guadalupe County Fair Parade. Scarecrows can be placed outside in front of a business or displayedin a business window but must be visible from the sidewalk. Clubs or organizations wishing to sponsor a Scarecrow display will be provided a downtown location.

Non-Livestock Events

Hay Show

Entries for the Hay Show will be taken Friday, Sept. 9, from 4-6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 10, from 8 a.m.-noon at the Womens’ Building, at the Guadalupe County Fairgrounds in Seguin. Samples will be sent to the Texas A&M Forage Testing Lab for chemical analysis. This is the reason samples are due one month ahead of the Fair. (All samples will become property of the Show).
