Fair Time! October 7 - 10, 2021

The Guadalupe County Fair & Rodeo is for kids of all ages. Whether you are a little tyke or a big "grown-up" the county fair has something for you. The little ones will enjoy the fair parade, the carnival for pint size as well as watching the broncing bucks.

Not sure where to start, "Let's get on over to the Kid's Corral", from there the decisions will ease.

The 1st weekend of October after the BBQ Cook-off there's the Mutton Bustin' for children ages 4-7. Check out all of the Kid's Events.

Best Western Wear Round-up

Be the talk of the town with the title Best Western Round-up Boy or Girl and the 6-7 girls can be Queen. Prizes for Runner-up given too.

  • Best Western Wear Roundup (Boys): 0-1 years; 2-3 years; and 4-5 years.
  • Best Western Wear Roundup (Girls): 0-1 years; 2-3 years; and 4-5 years.
  • Best Western Wear Roundup Queen (Girls): 6-7 years.

The Guadalupe County Fair is the place for your children to start their western round-up.

I love the Carnival!

Make sure to get your carnival passes in advance for $20. Gets you into the Pride of Texas Carnival with a armband valued at $25 to a matinee session of your choice. There will be two matinees a day throughout the Fair. Presale locations are the fair office, Chamber of Commerce and Guadalupe Printing Solutions.

Fiddler's Contest

Join us for the 40th Annual Fiddler’s Contest. Contest consists of 4 divisions:

  • 0-12
  • 3-18
  • 19-64
  • 65+

Prizes for 1st - 4th in each division + Grand Champion, Reserve Champion and Ribbons for the Oldest to the Youngest. Come by for a foot-stomping good time.

“Food Challenge” Contest - Youth

Calling all youth chefs, here's your time to shine. Each entry includes a team of up to 4 in grades 3-12. Teams can come from schools, church 4-H, etc. There are three categories:

  • Junior category (grades 3-5)
  • Intermediate category (grades 6-8)
  • Senior category (grades 9-12)

Team entry will be determined by oldest team member.There are four food categories in each age division including: Main Dish, Fruits and Vegetables, Bread and Cereal, and Nutritious Snacks. Don't miss the Headlining Chefs of Tomorrow.

Oh what fun, the Pet Show held Saturday, October 9 under the gazebo in front of the Coliseum.

All pets must be currently vaccinated and kenneled or leashed! Thank you!
