Friday, Oct. 13 • Line-up 8 a.m. • Judging 8:30 a.m. • Parade 10 a.m.

Due to the high traffic area of our ending spot we are going to have ALL PARADE FLOATS continue down Austin Street enter the loop around to the Starke Park parking lot AT THE WAVE POOL. There we have plenty of room for cars to park, floats to unload participants safely and dismantle floats if needed. Click below on Parade Route Map. You will be required to go under a bridge in the one way loop. if your float is UNDER 13ft it will pass If not, you will have to turn left directly into wave pool parking lot. All walking participants and livestock participates will still turn onto Nelda St.
PARADE ROUTE MAP

Line-up: Information and parade position if needed will be available at Seguin High School off of the 1200 Blk of College St. Starting at 8 a.m. Line up by 8:30 a.m. Late arriving entries may be denied permission to participate in the parade and will not be judged at 8:30 am.

Staging area: No vehicles other than parade entries will be allowed in the staging area. Parents & sponsors must drop off participants at the intersection closest to their entry. Parade volunteers will be available for assistance.

Judging: Begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. sharp! All entries must be in place, setup & ready to go with riders in position by 8:30 a.m. Unit must be decorated and participants must remain in place until all judging is complete to quality for an award.

Parade Time: Begins promptly at 10 a.m. – rain or shine!

Parade Winners: Will be presented with their awards at the announcer stand at Central Park.

Parade End: Will end at the Coliseum/Fairgrounds. You must pull out of the way of the parade flow to release riders so the units behind in the parade can continue. NO exceptions!

Safety: An adult must supervise all children under the age of 18 participating in the parade. Liability regulations prohibit and as a safety precaution for our young spectators, we ask that absolutely no items may be thrown during the parade including candy, gum, flowers, coupons, brochures, samples and water balloons. Alcohol may not be consumed or carried by members on the parade route. Water guns may not be used to spray the crowd. Protect yourself & others on your unit from the sun & heat! Roller blades are not allowed on streets along the route during the parade.

Entry Safety: Please maintain a distance of 2-3 car lengths between your entry and the one in front of you. Do not stop your entry along the route unless you have an emergency. The Guadalupe Agriculture Fair Association & parade committee assumes NO responsibility for accidents or loss of any kind.

Music: Playing music too loud is not allowed. The parade officials in charge determines “Too loud.” Playing music with vulgar lyrics & profanity is not allowed - must be suitable for a family audience.

Limit Vehicle/Equipment: Must not exceed 200 feet.

Equine/Animals: Units must provide their own pooper-scoopers. If not provided you will be placed at the end of the parade lineup!

Noises: Loud sirens, whistles, etc., are not permitted.

#1: Remember not everyone can be #1 in the parade, and not everyone can be “up front.”

Liability regulations prohibit and you will not be allowed to participate in the parade if: registration & waiver forms are not received by the deadline: your entry length is not indicated: each vehicle and animal is not decorated; Alcohol or any illegal substance is being consumed by anyone riding on or driving your entry;
you throw candy or any items from your entry; you do not provide proof of negative Coggins tests for animal; you use water pistols to spray the crowd. Please refer to the Guidelines & information sheet included with this package. Let’s be safe & have fun!

Entries will be accepted for judging until September 30th.
The entry fee for all Business/Commercial & Political Campaign units will be $40.00.
Fee must be paid with a money order or a cashiers check with the registration
application. Rules are subject to change according to the City of Seguin guidelines.

Parade confirmations: will be sent via mail/fax/email/phone approximately the week of the parade. Please mark your preference. After the parade, participants are cordially invited to join in the other activities at the fairgrounds, such as Play Day, barnyard, rodeo and exhibits. A limited number of gate tickets are available for parade participants.
