The ladies of the True Women Drill Team are excited to be performing for the 2024 Guadalupe County Fair and PRCA Rodeo. Formed in 2002 and named for Seguin native Janice Woods Windle's novel, True Women, this team is proud to honor the traditions of the pioneer women who settled Guadalupe and surrounding counties. Team members work to emulate the courage, perseverance, and determination of their fore-mothers as they ride to celebrate the successes in overcoming the hardships of pioneer life. With their stunning performances throughout South Central Texas, they showcase synchronized horsemanship and unwavering camaraderie. In addition to performing at various rodeos, equestrian events, and parades, the True Women volunteer their time and horses for service projects such as the Chris Krossing Foundation Survivor's Day for Gold Star Families and educational programs for youth organizations. The ladies love sharing their knowledge and love of horses!

The 2024 drill team sponsors are: Chuck Hughes Memorial Arena, Quarter Moon Plumbing, Say Whoa J Bar C Horse Products, Flack Realty Group, Mac Haik Ford -Victoria, Superior Mane & Hoof, EXP Realty-Jana Evola, Happened by Chance Horses, San Marcos Iron Doors, Legacy Broker Group, Longhorn S Livestock Feed Company, Books by Randy Rawls, Purple Goat Ranch, Busy Li'l Bri Professional Organizing LLC, Competition Wheels, and Gruene Leaf Health & Wellness.

In addition to these much-appreciated sponsors, the True Women are supported by a hard-working ground crew made up primarily of team members' significant others. The team could not accomplish all they do without their sponsors and ground crew. The True Women will open the PRCA rodeo each night with a flag presentation to honor our country and perform their high-speed precision drill for your entertainment during the rodeo. The True Women Drill Team is a testament to the enduring legacy of South Texas women and a source of pride for their hometown of Seguin and beyond, by displaying courage, teamwork, determination, and perseverance in everything they do. These ladies would love to perform for your event or conduct an educational program for your group. For more information, search True Women Drill Team on Facebook and Instagram.
